Vosne-Romanée

Halfway between Dijon and Beaune, between the Clos de Vougeot and Nuits- St-Georges, bounded on the east by Highway 74, protected of the Morvan west winds by Cote, Vosne Romanée, firmly rooted on its venerable cellars, is its great wines, one of the most famous French wine-growing commune worldwide.

The vines are spread to the rising sun and its appellations run down, beside the church, to the priory of St Vivant. Some first vintages line the town hall square and the appellation Vosne-Romanée embraces the rest of the country.
